She’s my oldest friend. We’ve known each other since high school, survived the same university, and have been sharing the ups and downs of life ever since.
By day, she’s an AI biohealthcare consultant, VC venture partner, and adjunct professor at Ewha Womans University, with a career spanning genomics, microbiome research, and digital healthcare. The credentials are long: a B.S. in Genetic Engineering from Korea University, a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from Seoul National University, a postdoc at Case Western Reserve University, and a stint as principal researcher at SK Telecom’s AI R&D Center.
By night, or whenever there’s a good bottle around, she’s a WSET: Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 2 certified wine enthusiast who approaches every glass the way she approaches a research question: with curiosity, rigor, and a healthy skepticism of the obvious answer.
