The word “elegance”
comes to mind

Mom’s appearance is elegant
and her heart is also elegant

She is warm and cozy 
like an Ondol room

She is old and sick now, however,

she always tries to keep her and her surroundings clean
and not to harm others

   엄마

   단아(端雅)함이란 
   단어가 저절로 떠오른다
   
   곁 모습이 단아하다고
   마음도 단아해 보이지만

   마음은 온돌방처럼
   따스하고 아득하다

   비록, 지금은
   늙고 병이 깊지만

   주위를 깨끗히 하고
   남에게 피해를 안 주려 노력하신다
